Community & Family App ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Raidlayer, a technology company. The App is a social platform designed to help families and communities connect, share moments, and communicate.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide a working, safe app experience.

3. Device Permissions We Request

The App requests the following Android permissions. Each is optional unless stated — you can deny a permission and use the rest of the app normally, but some features will be unavailable.

• Camera — Required only when you take a photo or video to post. Never accessed in the background.
• Microphone — Required only when recording video posts with audio. Never accessed in the background.
• Location (Precise) — Requested only when you choose to tag your location on a post. You control when it is accessed.
• Photo & Media Library — Required only when you choose to upload an existing photo or video from your device.
• Notifications — Used to send you alerts about new messages, posts, and community activity. You can disable this in your device settings at any time.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account using phone number verification
• Display your posts, comments, and activity to members of your communities and family groups
• Send push notifications for messages, replies, and community updates
• Provide location-tagged posts when you choose to share your location
• Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
• Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third-party data brokers.

We may share your information with:

• Community members — Posts, comments, and profile information you share are visible to members of the communities or family groups you join.
• Service providers — Third-party services that help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, push notification delivery, OTP SMS providers). These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
• Legal authorities — If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
• Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., for fraud prevention or legal disputes).

Content you have posted that other users have interacted with (e.g., comments on a group post) may remain in an anonymised form after account deletion.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
• Secure storage of authentication tokens using device-level secure storage (Android Keystore)
• Access controls limiting which team members can access user data
• Regular security reviews

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at dev@raidlayer.net.

8. Children's Privacy

Community & Family App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Users between 13 and 18 may use the app only with parental or guardian consent.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — Request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out of notifications — Disable push notifications via your device settings at any time
• Withdraw location consent — Revoke location permission via Android Settings → Apps → Community & Family App → Permissions

10. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Expo / React Native — App framework and push notification infrastructure
• SMS OTP Provider — For phone number verification at login
• Cloud Storage Provider — For storing user-uploaded media

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you via the app or email.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
